Fifield, Craigmile Finish T-11th in Ontario Golf Championship
ST. THOMAS, ON - The St. Marys Golf & Country Club entry of Rick Fifield and Jim Craigmile finished tied for 11th in the Ontario Senior Men's Better Ball Championship Golf Tournament here last Thursday at St. Thomas Golf and Country Club.
Fifield and Craigmile were one of six teams to combine for a one-under-par score of 71.
There were 55 golf teams of Senior men, 55-years-old and over, who took to the course in damp, fall-like conditions.
Collingwood's Michael Jackson and Welland's Sandy Billyard posted the low round of the day, a seven-under-par 65.
The difference for the duo came on the ninth hole when Billyard, from Hunters Pointe Golf Course, canned a hole-in-one on the par three.
The Senior Men's Better Ball Golf Championship was first contested in 1982.
It’s the right fit for Jordan Jarrett. A good business school and a school with a great golf program. Jarrett, 18, leaves for Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio next month to start a NCAA golf scholarship at the Division 3 school.
