HOLE 16 — Par 3 Tee Shot

Imagine perfect calmness from the moment you step up on the tee to your follow-through, only to hear the ball plunk into the water short of the green. This is one of the most picturesque par 3s on the golf course, featuring the largest tee blocks. Surrounded by water short and to the left of the green, this hole collects thousands of golf balls every season. Standing on the tee, the green looks inviting, with the grass and trees perfectly still. But near the green, wind gusts can blow right to left or straight in your face, sending your ball sideways into the pond. Hit the green, and you'll be sure to make a gorgeous divot, only to be confronted with a putt that could span over 60 feet, uphill or downhill. It's amazing how such beauty can be so rewarding or so punishing.
