In our last article, we made news by announcing that we had broke ground in February on our new Wedding and Event Centre (see article here). We are now well into construction with progress starting to show. Word-of-mouth is already spreading and their is a buzz of excitement around the Club. We expect the renovations in our new Wedding and Event Centre to make the St. Marys Golf & Country Club one of the finest facilities in Southwestern Ontario.
MTH Contracting (Paul Bender) was hired to lead the construction of the project. Bender believes that visitors will be astounded by what they witness when they arrive and see the changes for the first time. "This is going to be a beautiful facility," he commented. This past week, Bender and his team were working on renovations to the kitchen, bar, and adding floor-to-ceiling windows to the North side of the building facing hole 10. The Wedding and Event Centre, designed by Markletivz Architects, will be highlighted by an oval shaped centrepiece that covers over 60% of the ceiling. This and other unique features will make the Wedding and Event Centre stand out from every angle.
The new Wedding and Event Centre will play host to weddings, business meetings, golf tournaments, special celebrations, memorials, and much more. The best part of the renovations is that visitors will have an amazing view of the golf course from each of the areas: new wedding ceremony area, new patio, and renovated banquet hall. The Wedding and Event Centre will give visitors a whole new perspective on what we offer at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club.
The project is set to complete in mid- to late-April and we will be hosting the first wedding in the facility on April 26th.
