MAY 2026 REPORT
Shaping the Playing Experience
It's been a record-setting wet spring across Southern Ontario. Despite the wet conditions, our team has worked hard preparing for the season.
Encouraged by how well the greens came through winter, we took a proactive approach in April. We double verticut all greens, heavily top-dressed them, and followed up with solid tining and multiple brush cuts. This work has created a strong foundation for the months to come. While green speeds may be slightly slower during the early weeks, we will gradually lower the height of cut from 0.125" to approximately 0.115" as we head into the latter half of May.

We are also introducing long fescue areas behind the 9th and 18th greens. These locations have traditionally been challenging to maintain due to slope and consistent summer sun exposure. Moving forward, we will transition these areas to naturalized fescue, creating defined waste areas better suited to site conditions—while enhancing the course's character and definition.
With more improvements underway across the property, stay tuned for next month’s update!
